Detailed Description

This release (3.23) addresses the following issues:
1) Improved PXE boot.
Under some configurations PXE boot did not complete successfully.
2) Interoperability with Chelsio* RNIC.
This firmware along with OFED release 1.5.4 (or later) allows NE020 and Chelsio T3 / T4 to interoperate.

To update FW/EE and enable PXE for NE020 cards invoke the nes_enable_pxe.sh script.
To update FW/EE and disable PXE for NE020 cards invoke the nes_diable_pxe.sh script.

EEPROM Maintenance
------------------------
nes_ee.sh is for maintaining the eeprom for NetEffect Ethernet Adapters.

The current working directory must be where the other firmware and eeprom
utilities are located.  The eeprom files (*.hex) must also be in the same
directory.

The file name format of the eeprom file indicates which model card it supports.
Do not rename the eprom files.

WARNING : Applying the wrong version of firmware or eeprom can result in serious
damage to the Ethernet Adapters. Do not directly use the
          nesFlash[32|64] or nesEeprom[32|64] programs.

Usage : nes_ee.sh [-i | -a | -w <EE6xx-yy-vvvv.hex> | -v ]
-i      information about the adapter's eeprom and firmware
-a      automatically apply the proper EE6xx-yy-vvvv.hex eeprom
-v      verify firmware file against one on the adapter
-w      write new firmware file to the adapter [Dangerous]

Example: ./nes_ee.sh -i
         ./nes_ee.sh -a
         ./nes_ee.sh -w EE641-23-0402.hex
         ./nes_ee.sh -v EE641-23-0402.hex

Firmware Maintenance
-------------------------
nes_fw.sh is for maintaining the firmware for NetEffect Ethernet Adapters.

The current working directory must be where the other firmware and eeprom
utilities are located.  The firmware files (*.hex) must also be in the same
directory.

The file name format of the firmware file indicates which model card it supports.
Do not rename the firmware files.

WARNING : Applying the wrong version of firmware or eeprom can result in serious
damage to the Ethernet Adapters. Do not directly use the
          nesFlash[32|64] or nesEeprom[32|64] programs.

Usage : nes_fw.sh [-i | -a  | -p [<pxe_FILENAME.rom>|off] | -w <FW_NE020_yyyymmdd_ma_mi.hex>
                 | -v <FW_NE020_yyyymmdd_ma_mi.hex>]
-i      information about the adapter's firmware
-a      automatically apply the proper FW_NE020_yyyymmdd_ma_mi.hex firmware
-p      write new pxe_FILENAME.rom file to the adapter or disable PXE BOOT if '-p off' [ADVANCED]
if no parameter is specified then the latest file will be used
-w      write new FW_NE020_yyyymmdd_ma_mi.hex file to the adapter [ADVANCED]
-v      verify firmware file against one on the adapter

Example: ./nes_fw.sh -i
         ./nes_fw.sh -a
         ./nes_fw.sh -p
         ./nes_fw.sh -p pxe_0100_03_04.rom
         ./nes_fw.sh -p off
         ./nes_fw.sh -w FW_NE020_20110926_03_23.hex
         ./nes_fw.sh -v FW_NE020_20110926_03_23.hex
